This letter is to formally announce my resignation from **** starting today. I thank you for the initial opportunity to work for this company but, frankly, the pay and job satisfaction no longer strike a satisfactory balance with the stress, grief, and working conditions that I have experienced here.

In view of my experiences over the past month, I will take the liberty of listing here my reasons for leaving.

1. It is not appropriate to yell at me and threaten my job infront of my co-workers.

2. It is not appropriate to continuously give me dirty looks and speak of me behind my back.

3. It was not appropriate of you to tell me that my co-workers don't like me.

4. You continuously blamed me for any problems that happend in the night shift, even though there were other employees equally responsible.

5. When I came to you with a problem of people not working in the evening shift, you called me a liar and said it was me that wasn't working.

6. And here is the most important of all; You gave me a write-up which was filled of lies and then forced me to sign it or I would lose my job.

"This letter summarizes our conversation of February 14, 2006 regarding areas of your performance that are unacceptable.

A number of conversations have been conducted with you relative to your performance addressing your're failing to follow instructions, failure to complete tasks and failure to comply with IKON's policies. Your performance has become problematic to the point that the department and your coworkers have been impacted.

You habitually fail to check the computer regularly for incoming print jobs; which results in print jobs being left for the morning staff. There have been numerous jobs that were either completed by you or QC'ed by you. You are not following proper QC procedures. Furthermore, you have been sending clients emails requesting copy track number4s or charge numbers, the procedure has been explained to you several times on how to obtain this information without inconveniencing the client. You are also failing to complete jobs on your shift for no valid reason. It has also been brought to my attention that you continue to use your cellular phone while working. You are not to make any personal calls unless you are on your lunch break.

Kimberly, the expectations of you in this role are to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times and to complete your tasks error free. You are expected to take responsibility for ensuring tasks assigned to you are completed as requested, completed on time, that you share in the responsibilities of your department and that you maintain a pleasant and professional image at all times. You are also expected to follow all IKON policies and procedures. You are expected to meet the objectives outlined in this letter. Failure to do so will result in the termination of your employment."

Now to respond to the write-up, you just love to hear yourself talk. You made up most of it to sound good and give a reason to get rid of me. I have been a hard worker, worked many late hours just to please you. Nothing I do pleases you. All you do is complain and pick on me. Nothing I do is good enough for you. I always follow instructions, I always complete my tasks, and I always comply with IKON's policies. My performance has not been problematic and my coworkers have not been impacted.

"You habitually fail to check the computer regularly for incoming print jobs", There was only one incident where the computer was not checked, and I will once again bring to your attention that I am not the only employee that works night. I should not be fully blamed for the incident. I also have to add that there is nothing wrong with emailing a client asking for their charge number, or how else do we bill them? From day one that is how I was trained, and it was from your mouth those words.

"You are also failing to complete jobs on your shift for no valid reason." If something was left for the next day I ALWAYS left a valid reason. I never left a job that was due early the next morning. I must point out, even if I stayed late to finish a job, I still got yelled at by you.

"It has also been brought to my attention that you continue to use your cellular phone while working. You are not to make any personal calls unless you are on your lunch break." I NEVER use my cell phone during work hours. I have only ever used it on my break. I can easily hand over my phone records to support my argument.

You state in the letter that I must conduct myself in a professional matter, yet you are not professional in being a manager. Swearing, dancing around and flinging elastic bands with your employees , along with everything else I have added is not professional. The way you treated me was not professional.


In short, I enter this building with dread and loathing every day and I will leave it for the last time with relief and a smile on my face.

Goodbye, good luck, and I hope you realize what you're doing before everyone with any real skill at the job has decided to walk out and go some place where they're treated with a little common decency.
